Galentine's Day

Galentine’s or Valentine’s?? Which is the best holiday?

The best fake holiday of the year.
Galentine's Day

Let me introduce you to your NEW fave single-safe holiday of the year: Galentine’s Day!!

Whether you’re celebrating V-Day or avoiding it, romantic love isn’t the only kind of love that deserves to be celebrated!

Your friends are there for you in a ton of ways that your partner can’t be. I mean who else can you complain to about your partner!

And just because it’s not “official” doesn’t mean it’s not important (like the most important).

Because it’s all about celebrating your Gal Pals!

Let’s face it, some boys come and go but your besties usually stay forever.

Okay, so what/when is it exactly?

According to Urban Dictionary, Galentine’s Day is celebrated on February 13, the day before Valentine’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate the love you have for your lady friends, whether they’re single or not, and shower them with love and attention…more than you do every other day.

Who invented it?

The best thing about Galentine’s Day is that it was created by a fictional character: Leslie Knope of Parks and Recreation.

“Every February 13, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home and we just come and kick it, breakfast style,” Leslie says in the episode. “Ladies celebrating ladies.”

And thus, Galentine’s Day was unofficially added to everyone’s calendar.

Do I need to buy stuff??

Only if you want to… and we have some suggestions. Check out our Friendship Jewellery collection.

But you can choose to celebrate it (or ignore it) anyway you like. You could go our for brunch, a picnic, a glass of champagne, or simply do a insta post celebrating all your besties!
